A Whole New Start
So, I haven't blogged in awhile, and thought I should spread the recent news. I am PREGNANT!!!
Ha, I wish, just kidding. BUT I did get into Nursing school! How awesome is that? I am supposed to start in August of 2011, however, I still have a few pre-reqs I have to finish that I think would be a good idea to do before I actually begin the rigorous program. I will be going to Nightingale College School of Nursing. It's a program that just started here in Utah, but the curriculum and college have been in Colorado for years. It's state accredited, and will have national accreditation by June or July of 2012. It's only a 16 month program, thus the rigorous part, and will definitely keep me busy. It starts out with class lectures, and I think ends as an online program. I am so excited, yet nervous to start, but can't wait until I am finished so I can hopefully work in the ICU at Davis hospital where I am currently working as a CNA/Clerk.
Patrick just finished another year at Bountiful High. I am so proud of him. He works so hard and at the end of the school year it totally pays off. His students give him letters at the end of the school year telling him how much he has helped them, and got them to where they are at now. Those letters are so wonderful and inspirational, and that is why he teaches. I need to find something cute to do with all those letters and he can have them forever. Was thinking some type of an album, or "blanket" or something.
So now, begins our summer before I start the program. We both are going to be working a TON to really get some debt paid, and hopefully do a little vacation whether its to CABO again or somewhere close. Hopefully take Romeo to the park a lot and really let him play. He loves to run, and he is starting to get a lil chubby. :) I would like to unwind and have fun before the strict, hectic school schedule sucks me in for 16 months!

Motivated
So, I just took my 2nd physiology exam, and our lab exam, and the outcome???
An 80/100 on written, and a 66/70 on the lab! Wow...so much better. So far I am standing at a B- in that class. I am so stoked about that. So now, I found out that I can apply for this fall semester for Nursing school. Going to apply at a few places just to boost up my chances! I am so excited for this year...one because of hopefully getting into nursing school but also paying off a lot of debt..our 1 year anniversary and being the age of 25! holy cow that is scary hahahaha

Physiology Is HARD! :(
So I knew starting school would be hard, but sometimes I can't believe how hard it gets. I just took my first physiology exam and I bombed it....I did better than others but lower than the class average! Class average was a 68% while I got a LOUZY 63%. Granted I was on vacation with my handsome husband, and missed the study reviews before the test, I still should have done better! So right now, I am supposed to be studying and not blogging. I started studying, but got bored and here I am.
So our vacation was fun....It stayed pretty cold for being in Mexico. Temperatures were prob 70-80 but with a cold breeze it felt a lot colder. Nights got pretty cold too. We mostly relaxed and sat by the pool. Went out to eat a few times, and went on a Sunset Cruise. Which it was FREEZING....saw a LOT of whales though and the water was extremely choppy. On our way out for the cruise the Mexican Military Patrol boat came up to our boat and said everyone had to wear the life jackets..which was weird cause we never had to before. They ended up telling us that an older couple from Canada drowned the day before....So SAD!
Today, I am going to Nightengale College with my mom, to decided whether Eagle Gate is the best choice of school or not. So far, its been really expensive...almost $3,000 a CLASS! You probably would pay that at Weber for 12 or more credits!!!
Well, I better get back to this lovely physiology book!!!
oh..p.s Heard the greatest quote yesterday on Teen Mom..."The past is history, the future is a mystery, and now is a gift that is why they call it the present"
ahhhhh love it!

Sad but So Excited!
So, I know I just started Women In Motion, and had set the goal to walk/run the 13mile run....BUT I got a BrAnD new JOB!!! I am so excited about this, I can hardly keep a smile off my face!
Say hello to the new CNA at Davis Hospital and Medical Center! hahaha I know, I am a RATARD, but hey I think it's cool. I will be working in the ICU as a CNA/Unit Clerk. I think this is a start to a new chapter in my life. I am so glad I will be back working in the hospital again. I know that's where I am supposed to be!
I am also excited for this, because Davis Hospital has added on and renovated a lot of things including the ICU. The pay is actually really good for just starting out as a CNA, so I am happy that our Financial problem is going to finally get better!
Anyway, Just wanted to tell you my exciting NEWS !

~Yay~ (Hear the Sarcasm)
So, this is how I feel...only not as cute, and I don't have this many books to read. Physiology has kept me pretty busy, so it does feel like a MILLION books. I have a LoVe HaTe relationship with this class, as I do with Math. At least it is more interesting though that's for sure! I just can't wait til I am finally in the Nursing Program, and done with school so we can start a family! I so want a baby soon! lol
Anyway, Pat and I are leaving for Cabo here in about 15 days, and I get to study the WHOLE time. Yay for vacations right?

Mrs. Miserable :(
SO, this is ME....only picture a girl..hahaha. My nose is all red, my eyes are PUFFY, a little headache and a POCKET full of tissues. But other than that I feel fine! Either a sinus infection or a cold...but all I wanna do now is take a nap!
What a way to start out the 1st day of the semester eh?? Just got out of my math class thats almost TWO hours long...and all my nose did was either RUN or STUFF up! EWWWW I know! And whats with the Leaking right eye??? its like my eyeball has a cold of its own!
Anyway, I hope everyone is feeling better than me right now..I am going to go snuggle with my puppy, cause my hubby won't be home til late tonight! Then off to physiology, and EMT class tonight. Yes, I do stay pretty busy.

A Little Crafty.......
So in a way I feel like I am not that productive. So I have decided that I am going to try to be a little more crafty, making things for the seasons and holidays. I decided to start with this. My mom and I went shopping the other night and we decided to make some things for SPRING.....something to brighten up our homes, to look forward for spring to come! We went to Hobby Lobby and they had there big glass canisters and jars 50% off....so I got two and so did she... Mine are these two in the middle
The big one with the lid actually looks like one of those pitcher things you can get juice out of on the bottom....so I had an idea! What if I got some "fake" fruit and put it in there to make it look like Orange Juice, Lemonade, Grape Juice, etc?? This is how it turned out!
Pretty Cute huh? So, its going to have oranges for Spring, Lemons & Limes for Summer, Grapes for Autumn, and probably Apples for Winter! I love it, I think it turned out GrEaT! Now, I did the tall narrow vase and made a SPRING arrangement to have for my nice big kitchen table. Here is how that one turned out!
Well, now its time to think of what to do for Valentines or St. Patricks Day! Happy Crafting....
One Lucky Girl.......
So, now that I finally have a FuN job, things around here are starting to finally get put back together. Pat and I have been married for almost 6 months ALREADY! CrAzY huh? We have been through so many trials good and bad throughout the 6 years we have been together. I do have to say though losing your job and having financial problems could be the worst trial you could ever face. I knew we could pull through, but I also knew that it was going to take some time. Our marriage will never be perfect, but I know that our love is very strong and that we can overcome anything that gets in our way of happiness! I have the greatest husband that will do anything for me, how did I become such a lucky girl? For 4 months, Patrick took the lead and provided for me, helped me through the toughest time in my life. I know that sounds funny. The guy IS supposed to provide for his family....but I learned we both need to provide for each other to make things work. Not only financially, but emotionally, and physically. Patrick is my world, he always will be. And for that, he has made me OnE lUcKy GiRl...

The Start of Something New
Its been 4 CrAzY months! Finally, after some hard, slow days I finally got a job! Say hello to Mountain Ridges new CNA. hahaha I know, but this place is actually really fun to work at. I have only spent a FeW hours there for my first week, doing my training. I am so ThAnKfUl for getting a job. I was getting worried for a bit. I am almost finished with my EMT certification again, and starting up the new semester for school here shortly. My grades are great... got an A- in Anatomy, and a B in Math! I am sooooo ready for physiology and my next step up in Math!
Pat has been working like crazy....basketball season is here. He has put in a lot of time with his girls....I guess his undeafted score of 7-0 can tell you that!
We have had some crazy times together in the past few months of being married, but that just tells you we can overcome anything!
I just gave Romey a tubby, him being out in the cold to potty, and when he came in he was a ReCk! Mud, and stuff everywhere!!!
So here is blogging again,
See you soon
happy blogging!

Highlight of the Month
Well, this isn't going to be the cheeriest of them all. Last week was my birthday, and I had to resign from my job! Three years at McKay and it has finally come to an end. NO more taking blood! Sad to say that I am not a vampire anymore. BUT....I am moving on to bigger and better things! I start back at school tomorrow.....gotta get my generals done for nursing school next august! And i am going to get all my certifications again in EMT and CNA etc. It will be a long process but I think in the end the outcome will be better than before! I have a great husband who supports me, and a great family who will do anything to help! So here it goes! Wish me LUCK....

It's about time!
So I have decided that maybe I would start blogging again. It's been so long since I have done this, and a lot has happened. Patrick and I finally tied the knot...we got married July 10th this year. It has been some crazy months. We had an awesome honeymoon! We cruised to grand cayman, cozumel, belize, and honduras! It was a great trip, and we are looking forward to our 1 year anniversary already!
We have a cute little town home in Layton, where its by all our family and easy to get to work! We have great neighbors, and an elementary school next to us that has a big field that Romeo can play at.
Patrick started school today.....this is his 3rd year teaching....boy has time gone by....I am so proud of him. He loves his job, and he puts everything into that school. I think Bountiful High is going to keep us young....football games, dances, basketball, deca. You name it! The students love him and they all look up to him. I am so lucky to have him in my life!
Right now I am getting ready to start school again.......going into Nursing, gotta get all these pre reqs done so I can get into the program by next August!
Well that was my lil update stay tuned I am sure there will be lots more to come :)
